2205A/2210A/2217A ELECTRICAL INTERFACE
Electrical interface between the drive and the host system is accomplished via connectors J1, J2, J3, and J4. These connectors are described below.
Signal Connector J1 is a 40-pin connector. The bus interface connection is made via this connector. Signals on J1 include the 16-bit data bus, and control and address lines.
DC Power Connector J2 is a 3-pin, keyed connector. Both +5V and +12V are supplied to the drive via this connector. This power connector is usually used by low-power computer systems.
DC Power Connector J3 is a 4-pin, keyed, AMP MATE-N-LOCK connector. Both +5V and +12V are supplied to the drive via this connector. This power connector is the industry standard and is used in most applications.
Ground Connector J4 is a 3/16-inch spade lug.
